Jackie Bartanen enjoys a good challenge and is driven towards achieving results. Her perseverance has paid off as she achieved first a bachelor’s degree, then her CPA license, a Master of Business Administration, and most recently a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) credential. As a life-long learner, Jackie has an insatiable interest and desire to improve, grow and influence, which is easily seen with the customers she serves. She is also exceptionally determined.
Jackie’s experience traverses between tactical and non-tactical business aspects and includes finance, human resources, organizational development, accounting, operations, strategy and, most recently, exit planning. She functioned as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and controller at various points in her career, guiding companies through a variety of activities including numerous mergers and acquisitions, new business development and subsequent operational integration. While proficient with strategic tasks, her expertise also encompasses the basics of budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting. She is also skilled in technology and adept at analyzing and implementing various software packages.
Since joining Journey Consulting in 2017, Jackie has primarily supported customers in interim/long-term CFO engagements. Her involvement has included restructuring accounting departments, updating financial reporting packages and metrics, assisting with operations, and supporting the execution of strategic goals.
Jackie and her husband, Jason, live in the greater Green Bay area with their two children. In her spare time, Jackie enjoys traveling, snowshoeing, going to their family cabin, and spending time outdoors.
